I have temporarily moved my counselling services to outdoor or video-based counselling in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Feel free to contact me at 778-829-8959 , lu@lulam.ca, to find out more about my Mindfulness Somatic Counselling and Consulting Services.
I am a Somatic Counsellor, Mindfulness Consultant and Clinical Educator. I have 27 years of anti-oppression experience in front line counselling, group facilitation, program design and curriculum development serving marginalized communities in educational, community health and social service settings. An integration of my professional experience, academic knowledge, and lived experience as a Chinese-Taiwanese trans identified settler supports my understanding of how cultural violence (systemic, institutional, familial) impacts our wellness.
I am based in Vancouver, BC.
I offer services in the areas of:
It is a source of joy for me to create spaces where people can make contact with who they truly are. My work is centred with respect, compassion, understanding and with genuine intention to serve.
I would like to gratefully acknowledge the people of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations. I'm honoured to be living and working on their ancestral and unceded home territories and am committed in learning how to be a respectful guest.
And I am truly thankful for the shared de-colonial, traditional, and ceremonial teachings they have gifted to me through the years. These teachings have profoundly informed my counselling and mindfulness work.
If you are interested in my work, feel free to contact me at lu@lulam.ca or 778-829-8959.
